the idea was haunting me for quite a while, the thought of "the Glazier's Daughter", even though i couldn't decide whether it could be a a kind of a twist on Pinocchio's story, only with a lonesome glazier creating a daughter made of glass instead of Gepetto making a son of wood, or whether it would be a story about a glazier's daughter who can turn transparent and glass-like every once in a while,
basically that was the idea that made me draw the little picture

the original is currently for sale, note me if you're interested

Mistook it for Glacier's child first, and thought she has to be made of ice. The glacier doesn't want to let her go, and she goes and melts. Sad.

But beautiful picture.

It's actually a fascinating notion. Pinocchio presumably moved with blue fairy magic pushing his limb segments around the pin joints that puppets are made with. Glass is a curious substance, almost a crystal, almost a liquid, but not properly either. She is also very ghost like and instantly glamorous. It's an idea that really does deserve some development. Romantic, and whimsical and yet anchored in the everyday labors and livelihoods of the artisans. Very Basia.

Its a beautiful piece, as is your story that goes with it! I love how she is peaking over her fathers shoulder, I'd love to read a book about the little glass girl!
